Nominet have confirmed that from 1st October 2006 the fees for tag changes and registrant changes on .uk domain names will be reduced.
The new fees will be as follows:

| Single registration agent change | £10 + VAT | £15 + VAT |
| Bulk registration agent change * | £15 + VAT | £30 + VAT |
| Single registrant transfer | £10 + VAT | £30 + VAT |
| Bulk registrant transfer # | £22 + VAT | £60 + VAT |

We predict these lower fees, plus the fact transfer forms can now be downloaded from Nominet's website, will generate a lot more interest in .uk domain names.
